The incumbent is responsible for the final cleaning in all living units on the Embassy compound which include single and shared apartments and Containerized Housing Units (CHUs).
Applicants must address required qualifications criteria listed below with specific information and documentation supporting each item. For example, official transcripts evidencing educational requirements must be attached to the original application submission. EXPERIENCE: One year of some kind of cleaning experience, be it in a home or a business, is required.
JOB KNOWLEDGE: Must be able to demonstrate that he/she has performed physical labor which as knowing how to clean floors and walls, how to mix cleaning products and how to make beds. Should know various cleaning methods and where to use them.
Education Requirements: Completion of Elementary School is required.
LANGUAGE: English – Level 1. (Should be able to follow simple instructions which will be repeated in the local language.) Dari – Level 4 speaking.
This may be tested.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must be able to perform hard physical labor with demanding deadlines. Must be able to climb ladders. Must be able to work inside air-conditioned buildings and outside under the sun. Must be able to lift 20 kilos. Must be able to tactfully deal with all Mission personnel – US Direct Hire and Locally Employed Staff.
Qualifications: All applicants under consideration will be required to pass medical and security certifications and complete a mandatory probationary period for LE Staff.
All candidates must be able to obtain and hold a Local security clearance.
